Statistical Consulting Centers at other Universities

More than 50 centers and institutes with a mission similar to MSU’s CSTAT operate in US research universities. Most of these “CSTATS” offer both training and statistical consulting. Some provide substantial on-line instructional materials.

One that is especially recommended for its comprehensive set of online reference and instructional materials is the Statistical Computing Service at UCLA.

Instructor-Led Training Technical Workshops

One and two day CEU certified technical workshops exploring the principle tools of geospatial technology. These hands-on classes are taught by the RS&GIS Professional staff, and carry a CEU value ranging from 0.7 - 1.8 credits.

Now hiring full time Specialist

The MSU Center for Statistical Training and Consulting is a professional service and research unit at Michigan State University. Our aim is to support research and provide training, grant development, and consulting in statistics for faculty, staff, and graduate students. CSTAT has an open slot for a Specialist; we are looking to fill it with someone with skills similar to a Senior Bio-Statistician. The Specialist will work collaboratively with the Director and Associate Director to carry out the mission of CSTAT. Further the Specialist will assist CSTAT clients through statistical consultation, bid preparation as needed for project work, assist clients with grant development and sponsored research.
